Company Launches Utah Exploration. Preliminary Surveys Reveal Potential for Significant Discovery.
ST. LOUIS, MO (May 4, 2009) — Arlan River, LLC, an evidence-based mineral exploration company that combines today’s technologies with yesterday’s proven practices, announces the project team for the exploration of its property located in Beaver County, Utah, near the famed Frisco Horn Silver Mine. The preliminary high resolution aeromagnetic surveys and Dipole-Dipole Induced Polarization surveys have identified significant indicators of potential massive sulfide deposits.
“Over the past nine months our collaborative team of experts has done a remarkable job providing confirmation on the initial site data gathered from the field,” says Cris Cristea, president and chief executive officer for Arlan River, LLC. “As an exploration company our mission is to cultivate the most benefit from the property, with the least disruption, in order to provide a mineral rich future essential to many emerging technologies including solar, mobile and hybrid.”
In December 2008 Arlan River engaged Zonge Engineering to mobilize a geophysical crew to the site to conduct Dipole-Dipole Induced Polarization (DDIP) surveys on the project area. A total of five DDIP survey lines were completed as single spread dipole-dipole setups. The objective of the surveys was to locate and identify zones of enhanced chargeability that may be associated with metallic mineralization, in particular, disseminated sulfides.
“The results of the DDIP surveys show that there are zones of enhanced induced polarization response that exist at depth,” says John Fleming, Geophysicist, Zonge Engineering. “These zones may likely be associated with the existence of disseminated or massive sulfide deposits that may be of economic importance and should be tested by drilling.”
A targeted drilling campaign began March 15, 2009.
Over the past several months Arlan River has engaged the services of industry leading experts including;
•Anderson Engineering, Salt Lake City, Utah provided engineering and survey services for the project. These services included claim surveys, drilling program assistance and geological assistance. “The region has known historical and current successful economic mineral development. The geological, geophysical, and geochemical evidence within the area indicates promising potential for a successful exploration program,” says Steve Anderson, Principal of Anderson Engineering.
•Earthfield Technology, Inc. of Houston, Texas provided processing and interpretive services related to the high resolution aeromagnetic survey. “The project included both qualitative and quantitative analysis of the data in order to define near-surface magnetic minerals which may be of interest as an exploration target,” says David Lane, President of Earthfield Technology, Inc.
•Fugro Airborne Surveys of Ottawa, Canada conducted the high resolution aeromagnetic survey. “The project went very well from start to finish which resulted in a high quality data set delivered to Arlan River well ahead of schedule,” says Davin Allen, Operations Manager, Fugro Airborne Surveys.
•Seiler Instruments of St. Louis, Missouri fulfilled survey equipment needs with the use of their industry-leading Trimble GPS receiver units. “The need to accurately mark and navigate back to specific coordinates within the project area was easily solved using Trimble GPS,” says Pat Stack, Design Solutions Executive, Seiler Instruments.
•Zonge Engineering of Tucson, Arizona, mobilized a geophysical crew to the site to conduct Dipole-Dipole Induced Polarization (DDIP) surveys on the project area.
